June 4th-5th, 2012 marked the kick-off workshop for our Wood Modification network. Scientists from Latvian State Institute of Wood Chemistry, the Linnaeus University, the Poznan University of Life Sciences, the Uppsala University, the University of Applied Sciences Eberswalde, and the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences came together to discuss shared points of interest geared towards future collaboration and research.
It was decided that an agreement of research collaboration will be signed by the partners, with the intention of a common application for European research funding. Cooperation in the joint supervision of PhD students was also discussed.
The meeting took place near the University of Applied Sciences Eberswalde, Germany, in the biosphere reserve Schorfheide-Chorin.
